The Tentacle Zone

The Tentacle Zone is a premium indie collective, created and curated by Payload Studios to help smaller developers reach huge audiences at game shows such as EGX Rezzed, EGX, and Insomnia. Payload Studios has also managed the free indie zone at Insomnia for the past year, taking away the colder shell-scheme look and replacing it with a fresher, more stand-out style.

We’ve hosted over 100 indie devs over four years, ranging from BAFTA-nominated studios to student start-ups. Some of the studios we’ve worked with include: FreeJam Games, Boneloaf, Bossa Studios, Spilt Milk and Psytec Games.

Why the tentacles, you ask? They’re pretty effective inflatable objects, always draw attention, and we think they make the stand look awesome. There may or may not be a head coming soon.

We also offer the Tentacle Workspace. Similar to the Tentacle Zone, this is a cohabiting work environment designed primarily for smaller indie devs. It offers fantastic facilities at a fraction of the cost of standard serviced offices.
